Bharathidasanar Group of Schools owes its continued existence to its late founder, Shri. P. Sekar, pioneered a modest entry into the educational field in 1985. His adherence to diligence and discipline, along with the professional cooperation of Smt. Lakshmi Sekar (Chairperson), saw the school flourish at a steady rate.

The school began its operations as a matriculation school on March 23, 1990, after acquiring accreditation from the Tamil Nadu government. The school achieved yet another milestone thanks to the continuous efforts of Shri. P. Sekar, the founding correspondent, as it obtained the status of higher secondary school in 1994 with proper accreditation from the Tamil Nadu government.
